    Summer 2026 Youth Engagement

    Unofficial concepts, vision and considerations

  • Consideration #1

    P4 Parade • Praise • Prayer • Preaching

The vision for P4 is bigger than just one event. This year will serve as a powerful sneak peek and proof of concept leading into a larger official countywide youth and family parade planned for next year.

The long-term vision is to create a true city-approved countywide parade led by youth, churches, families, and community organizations throughout Greenville County. Participating churches will have opportunities to walk in the parade, decorate signs, represent their ministries, and help create a positive, faith-filled atmosphere centered around unity, encouragement, worship, and outreach.

Next year’s expanded vision would include an approved parade route coordinated with the City of Greenville, followed by a larger community gathering featuring ministry, worship music, preaching, prayer, performances, and outreach opportunities.

For this year, the parade element will be more relaxed, family-friendly, and venue-dependent while still capturing the heart of the vision. The goal is to create excitement, community engagement, and social media footage that helps build momentum for the future countywide experience.

If hosted at Unity Park, participants could gather for organized laps around the park with music, worship moments, signs, flags, and youth engagement activities while capturing promotional footage and community interaction.

If hosted at Cancer Survivor Park Amphitheater, the concept could include a simple organized walk from the parking area into the amphitheater followed by music, ministry moments, prayer, and fellowship.

P4 is designed to bring together generations through Parade, Praise, Prayer, and Preaching while helping youth take visible leadership in a positive, Christ-centered community atmosphere.

    P4 Block Party Description

The P4 Block Party is designed to be a high-energy, family-friendly outreach experience centered around faith, fun, fellowship, and youth engagement. The atmosphere will combine music, ministry, games, food, encouragement, and community connection in a way that is welcoming to students, families, and the surrounding community.

The event may feature special guest performers, local worship teams, youth choirs, Christian artists, spoken word moments, and rotating speakers who can deliver short impactful messages, testimonies, encouragement, and life experiences. College students and young adults may also share relatable testimonies designed to inspire younger students navigating faith, school, identity, and purpose.

Corporate prayer moments will be incorporated throughout the event along with a featured preacher or communicator capable of connecting with a broad audience across multiple age groups and church backgrounds. Prayer counselors and ministry volunteers will also be available throughout the event to pray with students, families, and attendees needing encouragement or support.

Food options will intentionally remain simple and accessible with items such as hotdogs, chips, water, pizza, and drinks to help create a relaxed and welcoming community environment.

Depending on the venue space, additional activities could include kickball, basketball, “Bible and Basketball,” field games, relay races, sidewalk chalk stations, and other classic interactive games designed to bring youth and families together. The overall vision is to get back to the basics of positive community fun while creating meaningful moments of spiritual formation, fellowship, and outreach.

The P4 Block Party is more than entertainment. It is a strategic community engagement initiative designed to unite churches, encourage youth leadership, strengthen families, and create safe environments where students can encounter faith, friendship, mentorship, and purpose.
